THE ARCHITECTS ACT OF ZIMBABWE (1975)
The Architects Act (1975) is an Act of Parliament that aims to provide for the registration and regulation of the practice of Architects in Zimbabwe.
HOW DOES THE ARCHITECTS ACT PROTECT THE PUBLIC?
In return for an accepted minimum standard of conduct and professional performance, the title and work of an Architect is protected, and can only be carried out by those who have satisfied the minimum requirements to be permitted to be entered in the Register as an Architect, maintained by a governing body - the Architects Council of Zimbabwe.

WHAT ABOUT THE BY-LAWS?
The Architects Act is supplemented by a number of Regulations and By-laws, which are subordinate to the Act, and cannot override any provisions of the Act - These set limitations on professional activities, particularly with regard to trade and commercial activities, and ensure fairness and respect to professional colleagues, and to the profession as a whole.
